Default Cut plastic bedliner is MUCH better

My truck came with a plastic drop in liner that I took out on delivery before having the bed sprayed with Bullet Liner (like Line_X Pro, cheaper, and doesn't need the occasional UV treatment) I also have tie-down rails on the floor of my bed for kayaks and motorcycles.

I do regularly haul stone and construction debris. Between not wanting to dent the aluminum bed or ding up the tie down rails, I took the idea of a friend and cut the sidewalls off of the drop-in plastic liner. This way, it is really easy to slide in and out, and most of the time is stashed under the deck behind the house.

Cutting it was easy with a Sawzall, but a jigsaw would have done just as well.

Good idea if it's removed most of the time. If not I would worry about water / rust ingress under the liner.

Naw, not if the bed is sprayed with bed liner. No way it will rust.

Plus it gives a little extra protection. I like it, may even do it on mine!
