Hey everyone,
I have seen many posts about adding BLIS taillights to a F150 that came with halogen taillights... but never anything about what they did with their lack of having BLIS. So I though I’d share what I did.

If you’re like me.... cheap (lol)... you may not want to buy a BLIS module just to collect dust on the back of your truck.

1. What I did was cut a piece of plexiglass to the shape of what the BLIS would be and drilled the holes appropriately to secure the plexiglass to the tail lamp.

2. After being cut and prepped, I sealed it to the back of the tail lamp with a silicone sealant and screwed in the bolts (from Ford) that go into what would be the BLIS housing.

3. Here is a picture of the final outcome while the sealant was drying and before the bolts were screwed in.




Hope this helps some of you who are looking to upgrade your taillights and do not have BLIS.

(To make this work, I purchased a new rear harness with LED/ BLIS plug ins to replace the halogen harness..... creating a plug and play option for LED taillights w/ BLIS. Lastly I used Forscan to remove hyper flash!)
