Default OEM Halogen to OEM LED. Switching parts?

Howdy! New here. My name is Nick and I’m happy to be apart of this forum!

I have a 2017 f150 5.0 XLT 2wd.

I currently have the factory halogen headlights in my truck. I want to go to the OEM LED headlights, however, brand new they’re around $1300. I can find used ones on eBay in the $200-$400 range, but these have broken mounting tabs and such.

So my idea is/was, to buy the ones with the broken tabs, and switch all the internals to my factory halogen housing (the LED DRL, high and low beams, bezels, everything) so that I can have a fresh housing with no broken tabs but have the LED internals. Now, before you ask, I have built and taken apart headlights before on previous vehicles, so that isn’t the issue. I want to make sure/know that the LED internals will fit and mount to the housing on the factory halogen.

Thanks!

they will not, the housings are night and day different, and you will run into wiring issues too and the way the turn signals work, you won't be able to swap those over

Yeah they're completely different. Not saying it isn't possible. Go for it.

if you have experience working with headlight retrofits then I would recommend the bizenon projectors from the retrofit store that just get installed in the existing reflector assembly bulb hole. No need for cutting and aligning. These are specifically designed projectors. They are available it www.theretrofitsource.com, below is the link of what I am talking about.

They are HID's even better.
