I have a 2012 F150 crew and thinking of getting a custom made center console for my firearms - anyone have any custom work for theirs? Mainly handguns is what I'm looking for - I'm thinking bringing in my xd oem case and glock to a audio shop to have a mold of it made and fabricated to fit the center console/arm rest - would love something like the one below

Im actually surprised you guys in CA are able to have your gun easily available.
Personally I would just need a secure spot like the console vault to store my gun when I need to leave it in the car. Typically my pistol stays holstered on my hip.

As long as it's concealed and not visible it's fine - problem I'll run into is if the officer, as they're walking up spots this before I can disclose it, it's a felony - I have a 6 inch lift so they may or may not Brice right away - I've had people sit in the passenger seat and not even notice it but Id rather not take that chance - hell even if I put a cover or draped something over it, it would be considered concealed - having on my hip isn't the most comfortable while sitting, mainly on long trips - I wouldn't be leaving it in the car this way so the vault option would work if I needed to leave it behind - I was looking for other options

Might have more options if you swap the seat for a console. I do like the mounted holster, but I switch between an M&P Shield and G19 and i'd probably need one of those universal holsters.
I just installed the Alien Gear dock in my console and I'm happy with it. It's inexpensive and just what I needed. I didn't want my pistol rolling around in my console unsecured.

You can as long as you have the right holster. I have a Mike's holster that has a tab at the bottom of the belt clip that keeps it in place on the alien gear dock. You can draw and re-holster without any movement on the holster.
