I went through the same thing. I researched for 3 months before making the switch. I went with the 2.5 leveling kit and slapped some 295/70/18's on my truck. Anything bigger than 35 is going to rub without spacers.

I have a 2.5 level with 315/70/17 (34.8") Raptor wheels (I do not know the offset) and absolutely no rubbing.

I have icon level and uppwr control arms for what it's worth. It's about 2.25 total after sag in the front with larger blocks in the rear since I haul and use my truck. I have 17 in method nv rims with 35x12.5 bfg km2 tires. I barely rubbed so I trimmed slightly and it works perfect. I off-road, hunt and have property in the middle of the national forest never have any issues with rubbing during articulation. Go with the level it's cheap if you are only wanting spacers such as AS. Fyi I had duratracs the worst feathering tire ever for a MT/AT which they claim to be. I have 3.55s in the rear and yes my truck lost some initial power as the tires are larger but very slight. I still towed a 6k trailer from North Carolina to California with no issues at all. You will not be disappointed and after all this time it took you to decide you could have had the lift already. If you got the doh then pull the trigger! Oh yea I also have firestone helper bags in the rear with my lift, they fit perfect and ride awesome! Highly suggested if you tow.
