Default 1997 4x4 F-150

I have an extended cab 1997 F-150 that was my dads and was given to me many years ago as my first truck. My dad was driving it one day and rolled the truck and caved in the roof and dented up the bed and the truck has been parked since (about 7 years now). I put fresh gas and a new battery on it a couple years ago and it started right up. My dad passed away and I've been wanting to toy with the truck for a while now since it has sentimental value to me, and cut the roof off of it and have a topless truck to drive around. I plan to cut the doors off just below the windows and have half doors and install a roll cage to make it safe in case of another roll over and use the roll cage to brace the windshield. I also plan to install hard plastic bucket seats so it won't matter if they get wet or dirty and put some kind of roll on liner on the inside so I can just hose it out if it gets dirty or muddy on the inside. Also I want it to be to where I can leave it parked outside so it doesn't take up space in my shop all the time so I know the radio and other electronics are going to get wet if it rains and whatnot so will that matter much (I don't need a radio and won't have windows anymore). Any input is welcomed

Hey Colby2679, If it was me, I'd completely remove any of the electrics that aren't going to be used and cover the wires that connected to them in some plastic bags w/ zipties or duck tape to keep them from getting wet. You said you don't need a radio, but you should keep the wiring in, in case you decide to put in a water-resistant one later (like the kind you can install in a boat?). Also, if you're cutting off the top, does that mean you think the AC and Heat will be of any use? If not, you might want to think about removing those part(s) from the engine to free up a few ponies.
Good luck on the build, hope it turns out just like you want! Feel free to post pictures of your progress.
