Thanks guys! I've been wanting to do something different with those boring door panels for some time now. The front speaker grilles were also all coffee stained from the previous owner. Must have kept their travel mugs in the door pocket cup holders.

How did you plastic weld the inserts back onto the door panel? I have a platinum and HATE the fake wood look.
Did you glue the paracord to the edges?

I never removed the panels. Once I found out they were plastic welded, I decided against it. I vinyl wrapped them in place. There is a small bead of black silicone in the groove holding the paracord in place. Speaker grilles just pop off with a trim removal tool.

I have had my door panels off ...I cut off the plastic weld and when I put everything back together
I used 1/8 inch screws 1/4 inch long for the armrest part and the rest I hot glued Worked great
