Default XLT vs Raptor

I’d like to get peoples opinions on here. If you were able to get a loaded Raptor at $65K, or an XLT(302A) fully loaded with a moonroof, which route would you go considering you would get at a 2 inch lift, leather, and wheels (already standard on Raptor) on the XLT? I’m trying to decide between the two options and I know I’d miss the 4A and push start as well on the XLT.

Been there, had both.

Is the raptor worth 23-25k over a 302 xlt to you?

That's the question.

The raptor based really on resale value. Oh and good luck finding one for 65k, just took a peak around me all marked up to 80k-85k.

That might change your mind.

True, but I got one ordered and it just came in 802A w/ moonroof, That's the dilemma.

Starting to come down off MSRP plus around here. You see some at list, saw one on one dealer site for a few hundred off. They are just sitting on lots.
When got my limited in Nov. The Raptors are still sitting, know same truck looking a build dates. The market really wanting the truck can't afford them.
Some like me, not going to pay over list for a truck. Ford on other model lines have played hardnose on going over list on past models, only alienate customers.

That's exactly what I'm battling with, but then with the mods I'd do I wouldn't be that far ahead. Then I'm missing the 4A and the push start (the Mrs. has that on her Explorer Sport and I love it). Plus the re-sale on the Raptor is just insane. Thanks for the response but you are right on point with what I'm going against. To me after mods I think it puts the Raptor ahead, but this is a tough decision.

I'm not a fan of that package, I like the 302A better than that. I contemplated 501A but the rebates just aren't good on a Lariat to compensate for the mods I'd do, and after mods I'm right there at the Raptor price.

The Raptor is worth the extra money if you have it to spend. Not sure I would buy into the resell value when you pay $20-$30K more for the truck new. Beautiful trucks don't get me wrong.

I've also see a ton of used gen 2 Raptors sit on lots for months on end.

Mike
