Default XLT sport or Lariat Sport - help me choose!

Just cannot decide! Built both with the 302A and 501A respectively, sport appearance added (obliviously..) 2.7 Liter Ecoboost, moonroof, and spray in box liner.
Just can't decide if the Lariat options are worth it, or if I should stick with the XLT.
Thanks ahead for the input guys!

Yep, that's why I didn't go with the Lariat. Couldn't justify the extra expense for leather and the few other options. Give me a well equipped XLT or a Lariat any day.

Few regret buying too much...more regret not buying enough.

I'm in the same predicament. I think my mind changes daily on this. I'm looking at a 502 lariat and XLT sport. When you add in the difference of rebates right now it comes out to about a $10k difference. Sticker price is 49k on the XLT and 56k on the lariat. If the trucks were significantly different it would be an easy choice. It's those little nice to have options that make it difficult for the price difference.

I was in a similar situation and decided the Lariat was a better choice. Had a few extra options I wanted and I plan to keep this truck for a long time. I didn't go with the sport package but I'm going to add a few things to make it more mine. Already have a level and tonneau-cover on their way and LEDs swapped in the rear, eventually I'll add the LED headlights and be done. Just have to be happy with what you purchase, like people have said, more people would rather have some extras they don't need then not have them and want them. Also comes down to what you can afford.

I too had this problem since i wanted the 2.7l (502a and up with led lights are not available with 2.7l) and a moonroof. The two choices with those two options are 302a or 501a. I ended up with the xlt becuase it was a $5.5k difference with incentives factored in. I'm not a huge fan of the perforated leather look (though ac seats are nice). I gave up on the keyless push start, cooled seats, a fancier cluster, and leather for $5.5k. I also liked the xlt grill alot better and the 302a comes with step bars included. If leather is a must, Katzkin leather can be had with whatever style you like. You can get a 100% leather (no vinyl kit for about $1150) if you diy. The factory lariat leather still had a good bit of vinyl on the seats. In the end, I'm very happy with my decision.

Don't get me wrong, I test drove a Lariat and it was nice but again, not worth for what I got. I liked the BLIS system, but my XLT came with blind spot mirrors on both passenger and driver side and that's works just as good.

My wife wanted the black seats, so I got the Sport package which was nice because it got me the console and what I think are nicer rims.
