That is the reason I went to the XLT. I was looking at the XL level, but couldn't get BLIS. I stepped up to the XLT and got BLIS w/trailer coverage.

I do a quite a bit of varmant hunting as well which is all back road driving. Anybody that says 4A isn’t handy or is for people who don’t know how to drive simply has probably never used it. It is my single favorite part about this truck.
I have 4A in both my Fords, not really a game changer for me in the winter and could live without. It’s nice don’t get me wrong but the ESOF is a good system and it’s plenty easy to flip a **** to put into 4H and come out if not needed.

but the truck does it faster. Stop light to stop light its awsome. I wont ever get a truck without it now.

+1 for 4A. I had it in my old Ram (which was by far nicer truck for less money) and 4A was terrific to have. Not having it in this truck is a real bummer. Another thing that I'm noticing is that traction control works differently in Ford than it did in Ram. Ram would drop RPM to stop wheels from spinning while Ford does something different. When Ram would get grip - it would just speed up smoothly , Ford jerks and launches forward.
Next truck - Lariat or better

I find 4A most useful on those days where the roads are cleared after a storm when it goes from pavement to snow pack.....that’s when I use it most. Other than that in winter conditions I use 4H as the 50/50 lock provides more predictable and immediate control.

Chuckling at calling 4a a game changer. I've got one with and one without.

Frankly either one is as winter capable as the other.

If given a choice between getting an xlt without 4a or paying more for it, ill take without and not think twice. No regrets.

What if it was a no cost option?

Like many of the nannies included in vehicles today, 4A just allows you to be lazy, over-confident, & less involved in your driving.

Sure it would nice to have, like all the other cr@p that gives you more time to day dream & text.

Game changer? Not even close.
