Here's my take, 2016 XLT FX4 2.7 SCREW.
Sticker (w/5k dealer markup): $56k
OTD: $37k w/incentives

The incentives are great on the XLT.

My big pet peeve was having a center console, i felt they looked cheap with the middle seat folded up.

The biggest thing is if you live in snowy areas, I'm really bummed about the 4a thing. I should have researched more. Probably would have went to Lariat just for that.

Otherwise, first thing i did was put the kicker power stage in and I love my truck! Flame blue with tan cloth, i like the cloth.

I also have a Jeep Summit so yes, adaptive cruise, rain sensing wipers proximity unlock is missed but eh they add up and I'm still happy with my truck a year later.

I'll do better headlights soon, etc but I would do XLT 302a again if I had to.

FORD: Add 4a on all models please!

Default Love my 17' STX only one regret

I just purchased the Xl STX 2.7 screw trim and I love it, center console, 8" sync 3 and 20" wheels. Biggest thing I miss having and have no idea why they didn't put one in on the STX is a backup camera. Would have easily paid another $600 for this option, but from researching online I think I have found a OEM-like solution 😬

I have the XLT Special Edition 302a 2017 with:
5.0 v8
3.73
Nav
Blis w/ LED side spots
Twin Moon (LOVE this addon)
Tow package
36gal tank (LOVE this addon)

I wish I had the FX4 package and the LED headligts, besides that the truck is mint. Also... I wish the rear windows were one touch up/down.. IDK why they aren't kinda silly.

My dealer told me the Tow Package had the upgraded suspension same as the FX4 has just missing the skid plates, but he lied to get the truck off the lot, pissed when I found out.

I have zero regrets about my '16 xlt, 302a, fx4! Well I would have gotten the spray in liner if I had to do it all over again but that's it. I didn't want leather, didn't want a fixed center console, didn't want all the fancy gadgets besides a backup camera and the trailer backup thing that comes standard on the fx4 package anyways. Wanted silver or white, got silver. Wanted ecoboost or 5.0, ended up with the 2.7 and love it.

I bought a 2014 STX bare bones when I was in a pinch after an at fault accident. Coming from an FX4 to that was a horrible decision. Kept it for exactly 364 days and traded in for my 2015 Lariat. If you're on the fence, don't do it and get what you want.

For those who want remote start. This is a really good deal. Took all of 5 mins to install and uses factory key fob

Looking to buy a 2.7 XL 4x4 screw in about as basic as it comes - vinyl floor etc and will add the STX package and thats about it. Dealer will need to order my truck as they don't carry such a 'basic' one in stock. Not interested in any upgrades or bells and whistles though I will add my own leveling kit, wheels and tires.

I have an XL but wish it was XLT - would've had a center console for storage, adjustable lumbar support, overhead console, foglights, slightly better stereo with sirius.
3.5l is useless, should have gotten ecoboost or 5.0l.
so far I've added rear step, fog lights, remote start, rear under seat storage, heated wipers, powered sub and tonneau cover. Got the dealer to do spray in bed liner.
36 gal tank is awesome
