I went from a 4.2" to 8" and in the best interests of cost effectiveness, I bought a bezel with a few scratches. It doesn't look too trashy but my truck is otherwise pristine so I planned on wrapping it.

Got qty 2 of https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0062A7M2G and the first attempt was a complete failure because of how deep the edges to the left and right of the display are. I made some poor choices on trimming away the excess so some corners were exposed. Everywhere else, the material looked very good.

One other pain point was the two upper groups of buttons. I tried trimming off the edge inside of the button wells but the buttons would depress and not reset to their original positions. I thought it would be nice to do that for all of the edges so that you only see the vinyl material and no original material.

I've got one more shot and might try again after that if I screw it up again. Painting would be so much simpler but the scratches would still show unless I sanded.

If it was cost effective, I would definitely take it to a shop since we have a bunch of vinyl places here in Houston, TX.

Once winter rolled around, I think the warm and cold wreaked havoc on the vinyl. I decided to hydrodip it all instead and paint the vent trim.
