Wow, dealer is really upcharging
My dealer has 4 2018 Raptors, 1 2018 Lariat Roush, and 6" 2018 lifted XLT that I had absolutely no interest in.
The Raptors are all MSRP $71,000 with an add on specialty vehicle "$10,000" added fee for a total of a whopping $81,000. Overall these are nicer than the Roush. I would never pay the price gouging $10,000 fee though and most likely while all of them are still sitting there.
The Roush is a Lariat truck with a $24,000 Roush add on. Most everything is cosmetic except "FROM WHAT I CAN SEE", the rear shocks, and front coil over suspension, Tires/wheels, and a Super Charged 5.0L making 600 Hp. Total price was $84,000.
WIthout price considered, the Raptors, in my opinion, were a much better off road truck which had beefier front and rear springs along with speacial shock/strucks along with special upper and lower control arms and other mechanical upgrades.
The Roush, to me, was a real fat pig with lip stick. While I can see why the Raptors have a following, the Roush was nothing more than what some backwoods mechanic could do in their garage for far cheaper.

You think that is bad, come try to by a Raptor in California. Markup of $30,000 by my house! 8 of them for sale at that price.

I don't blame the dealers but rather the idiots that pay those up charges. Same thing happened in 05 with C6 vettes. Idiots lined up to pay dealers way over MSRP because they just couldn't wait for the market to level out. Again the same type of idiots lined up to pay WAY WAY over MSRP for Z06 model vettes. It was laughable. People have lined up for years begging to get fleeced for "in demand" cars like Hellcats.... Some people have a lot more money then brains IMO.
As long as there are idiots willing to throw money at dealers then dealers will continue charging greatly inflated prices for limited models people are drueling to buy.....
Bottom line something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.......

This dealer charging $10k plus over MSRP is a greedy SOB...I'd go over to the dealership, crap in the toilet and not flush.
Dont buy from this dealer...6 months from now when theyre selling for 5k below MSRP you'll hate yourself...and the dealer.
