Oh, the Truck, is a 2017, Lariat Special Edition, FX4, 3.5 Eco, Max Trailer Tow, Twin panel moon roof etc.

Ford Employee Pricing Event. Usually starts around July 1st and ends sometime in September. HUGE discounts off trucks (usually $13,000ish) completely depending on what truck you get. Some SuperDuty's get close to $17,000 discounts. Usually it's what is left on the lot for the 2017's. I could do a factory order of a 2018, bt the discounts would be closer to $5,000.

Does that help?

Oh by the way, we pay $1.10 / Litre Or $4.40 a gal... Thoughts??

yeah sounds like it sucks to live in Canada!

Oh did I mention that I pay 30% income tax as well?

So...if you add the %13 HST that we pay on EVERYTHING we buy...

That's right boys and girls, I pay 43% of my salary to the government.

When was the ford employee pricing event last year? I purchased my truck on August 5 and used x plan from a buddy. Wonder why he didn't mention anything to me about A-Plan if he was able to allow me to use it because of the special event?

I don't think it was happening in the US during that time. I swear it was November-January 2016-2017, and it also looks like they did it through January in 2016.

You mean the government steals 43% of your income. #taxationistheft

Oh thanks for the clarification on the employee event from last year. I figured it was something along those lines but didn't know how you could be so certain that they were doing it again.

It's possible it varies by region. Some sales we have here in IL happen after the Chicago Auto show, but during the show held in Michigan(I think thats it) prior to CAS we don't get anything special.

When I bought there were no Employee specials, and that was Jan 14. I did miss out on a $4000 rebate that happened the day before I shopped when I was searching online. Man was I Pi$$3d. It was on Superduties which would have made the price a little less than the Lariat I got for a Superduty I liked.

A plan PIN numbers have family-employee relation requirements, even when they ran the friends and family event last fall to pass out pins to extended family. It only extended to nieces/nephews and a few other blood relatives that would normally be excluded from a-plan sponsorship. thats how I got an a-plan. Ford does verify the relation, and while you won't lose your truck over it, the person giving the a-plan to a non-qualified individual bears all the punishment.

As for a family pricing sales event, the numbers might be close to A-plan but likely are not all the way down. A-plan leaves little to nothing for the dealer, part of the reason participation is completely up to the dealer.

I have used both A and X plan, thought both gave good deals, but A-plan takes the cake hands down.
