They run cooler and usually run 40wt full synthetic oil to help with all the high rpm work.
The heads were designed and built by Mercury Marine Engineering. The block is a stock GM LS7.

Pushrod 7.3L gas is probably too much for a 150 series. In an F-250+? Hell yeah, but I'll wait like 15 years when I can get one for like $3000.

At the current cost of a new truck? No thanks, I'll pass. If I wanted I large displacement gas truck now I'd buy a 6.8L V10(2V or 3V). Sure, they slurp gas, but at the price you can get them you end up spending less than any diesel and you get 400+ lbf-fts. Let's be real, for 90% of the people on here that's more than enough power.

If they can 'allegedly' squeeze that 7.3 in a Mustang, it'll fit in a F150.
Sign me up!
But only if the Raptor comes with it which is the only other F150 type vehicle i'll ever buy again.

Funny, since Ford hasn't released the numbers yet. Although it is speculated to be around 500+ ft-lbs.

I'm one of the 10%ers.

me1234 says 400+ lb ft of tq from the V10 is plenty and I said we have that much with a V6. I said nothing about the 7.3.

Ok, I see. So what is your opinion so far on the new 7.3L, since that's what this thread is about?
