I've been driving a diesel in Europe for a few months and the start stop takes forever to restart. It's terrible. I actually like the start stop on my truck. Never had a issue with it since it's started before I can ever get my foot to the gas pedal and press. Honestly my only issue is I wish the power steering didn't turn off when the truck does. I really like the idea of a sensor connected to traffic lights to not turn off if a light is going to green quickly. I do worry that such a technology is going to lead to products where people speed up to/through red lights thinking it's going to turn green before they cross the line though.

I generally leave mine on. But if im at a busy intersection i turn it off immediatley, and then It stays off for the rest of the drive. I just will not tolerate any hesitation when i am anticipating having to move when i need to go. Its behavior is stop-off, inch forward on, back off, repeat..why doesnt my steering sheel turn? Oh its off again. Inch forward on,back off.
