type demo into the keywords on autotrader or cars.com, lots of dealers will advertise them in a special section on their website as well.

Thanks everyone, the deal got squashed quick the saleman refused to offer up any “numbers” until I stepped on the lot. Which I get, but I like to email, text or phone a lot of details out before getting on the lot. So, I’m going to keep on looking.

If i was planning on keeping the truck long term i would have a hard time buying a demo unless it was massively discounted. I dont know about you guys but all the vehicles ive ever demo'd i bagged hard, ive had sales guys go with me and tell me to punch it. When i demo'd the f150's the sales guy gave me the keys and let me go on my own lol I bagged the **** out of the eco in sport mode and it was no where near break in kms yet. A couple thousand miles doesnt sound like much but i can guarantee you at least half if not more of those miles are bagged miles on a motor that is supposed to be babied at first. Think about it, the average test ride is maybe 20-40 miles so imagine how many joe blows have had their turn ragging on that demo truck.

I bought my truck "new" with around 1500 miles on it. Zero problems. Some people buy trucks with zero miles and have nothing but issues. It's the luck of the draw. Mine had no evidence of wear except the numbers on the odometer, and I got it for a great price.

Drove 2.5 hours to view a 2018 Ruby red lariat. Got there started it up and it had almost 5k miles on it.
Asked the salesman what this was about. He says its a DEMO
Never mentioned when i called them before driving there. I was really annoyed and told him so.
I was not interested and the deal did not seem that great.
A few days later they called me and offered me a identical truck (apart from color) with 10 miles on it for the same price.

I personally prefer buying used, however, does Demo show up in a Carfax or would you just assume it's the GMs or demo if the initial selling mileage is high?

Also, I bought my 2016 XLT with every possible option including leather, 5.0, 4x4 for 33K. It had 16k when I bought it Dec 2017. I'm in FL but some of the deals people get on here are just awesome for new ones.

There is no law requiring anyone report to Carfax. Demo vehicles are untitled. So very unlikely it will show up.
