Worst. Paint. Ever!
I have had my truck 4 months as of today, but the paint on it looks worse than a 5 year old vehicle that was never taken care of. There are blemishes that wont come out, and water spots that only appear when you apply polish.
That's not the bad part, a few areas where a rock or salt ( never had salt pit the paint before, but it does this truck!) the clear coat is disintegrating.
The way this truck looks it needs an entire paint job and it is only been on the road 4 months! My 2014 never looked this bad, or even close, after going all winter with just a few touchless car washes. I clayed the hood, and thats when I saw the blemishes, spots in the paint that wont buff out easily.
Doesn't bode well for a "new" truck.
I have never seen factory paint do what the clear coat is doing, only time I have seen it is when the paint was poorly applied. A paint pen will not fix this!
There are more chips in this truck in 4 months than there were on my 2014 after 2 years and 63K miles driving the same roads! Not at all happy with this paint job.

Hmm I have chips all over but none look like that. I have ruby red as well. Take it to dealer and see what they say.

I would file a warranty claim and do a PM here to Ford.
My 2016 is holding up fine.
Just my 2¢.

Water spots are from lack of maintenance. New vehicles need to be clay barred and waxed Dealers never do this. Even though they look good when new, it's unreal how much crap is already on the paint. The spots can come out with a d a polisher and a little compound.
Good luck!

Almost forgot! Da polishing
Even some body shops come out looking worse than gone in! Make sure you get references on work!
I had a shop repaint a fender and the kid that buffed it out made it look horrible. I waited the 8 week cure time for new paint and fixed it myself

My 14 was like that after deer repair, hood and right fender needed to be corrected, made the Tuxedo Black look gray.
I took some HD pics of the CC peeling and sent them to my dealer to process with Ford. As far as the pitting, I have not had a vehicle that chipped so easily, but can be corrected, not something they need to deal with. I know the water spots weren't from me, so that had to be while it was sitting on the dealers lot along with the blemishes. My last truck sat for so long at the dealers that the cowl and bed extender turned gray, but the paint was perfect, and it was Tuxedo Black.
I clayed the hood today and it still feels gritty, so going to have to have the entire truck buffed out. The tail gate, forget about it, it is so heavy with embedded dirt it will be difficult to clean without risk of damage.
I just can't get over how horrible the paint is on a truck after only 4 months of driving.

I did have a 92 Vic that the base coat faded out, yet the clear was perfect. Had the shiniest primer colored car around.
