I think we have all tried some mods that just didn't turn out quite like we would have liked them to. I know I have wasted plenty of money on things I thought would look cool. The internet and forums have really changed my approach to mods now. I get to see other people's experience before I commit to a mod now.
The worst thing I have done/regret in my time....
Back in the late 70's I purchased a 1969 Hemi Charger for $4800.00. I cut out the rear wheel wells, glued flares on it, and ruined the thing. I ended up swapping it for a 1982 Chevy Pick Up Truck. If I could turn back time.......

I think the worst thing anyone can do to their trucks is remove the crash bars to fit a set of tires.. But that's none of my business.

I agree. I wonder what insurance companies would think if they were aware?

FYI 2015 regular cab and extended cab trucks did not come with them.
Only the super crews.
They do not deem those trucks as unsafe.

You may however get screwed by insurance if they were to find out.

I think you meant supercabs. They started adding crash bars to the mix for the 2016's

So much for that! (sigh)
Looks like it's time for the crash bar debate to be beat down like a dead horse again.

You are correct, and I did mean supercab.
