Default Wipers

Looks like I have a unique problem. Can’t find any hits on the forum. I went through a car wash and turned my wipers on to wash off any dirt trapped underneath them. Now my wipers will not turn off. It’s stuck on first delay option. The indicator is on the off selection.

Nope. Happened to me too last summer.

Replace the wiper switch and it’ll solve your issue.

Seems I always hear of them stuck on, when they break. Curious if anyone has the opposite, won't come on? Is there a way to override switch, if on the road?

Problem solved, apparently it is a fairly common problem. The circuit board has globs of electrical grease on it. Over time the grease melts and shorts the circuit. I found a utube video showing how to clean the circuit board. Ten minutes, money saved and problem solved. The car wash had nothing to do with it,just a coincidence.
