I still have my stock blades on my 15. Idk if I'm lucky or not but they're streak free still. I clean them with a wash mitt every time I wash my truck though.

I still have the stock blades on my 2016... 16 months of Colorado weather and still going strong.

But i'll look into those Icon blades likely by August or so.

What is the difference between "stock" and "OEM"?

Just got the dealer when I went for a service to throw some new blades on my 15 since the others did so well. Now the things bounce all over the windshield if its not totally wet, defeating the purpose of the auto function and are very annoying.

The dealer said it was new material composition that is softer, made to last longer and clean the windshield better and the wind makes them jump because of it. Not worth stating the fact that this happens in a parking lot at 5mph and no wind.

Anyone hear of them changing the stock blades makeup?

Guess I will probably pick up some of the Icons mentioned this crap is driving me nuts....

Use this:

https://www.carpro-us.com/coatings-s...ting-50ml-kit/

then it won't matter what blades you use.

Sounds fishy to me. My stock blades lasted all of 3 months on my 2016. I originally replaced with trico's that I got on Amazon. They lasted maybe a month and a half. I think they were old stock. They would skip all over the windshield even in heavy rain fall. I have since put on Bosch icons from autozone and have never had another issue. Maybe your replacement blades are old?

I'm young and lazy and just installed tricos myself. Sigh...

They work just fine and were cheap enough.

The stock blades on my '16 only made it five months after I bought the truck -- nine months after manufacture -- before they started to fall apart. Oh well, I got a winter out of them, which was about all I expected.
