Default Windshield wipers

Driving today in wet snow and the snow slid down from the roof down on the windshield. The snow crashed onto the wipers and now the wipers are out of alignment. They don't park all the way and they hit the pillar on the up stroke. How do I fix

Obviously. Can't clean it off while your driving. It's wet snow, less than inch on wet snow

we are just giving you a hard time. welcome to the forum! Are both wipers out of whack or just one? could you take a video and post it so we can see what you are talking about?

There is a lever at the base of the arm. Lift it and raise the arm, reposition and lower back on splines. There is a key in there that may have already fallen out. Near the tip of the wiper there is sometimes a witness mark to align to on the glass.

That’s weird, if the snow fell down on the wipers they should be down to far not up. Regardless I will link a video (not mine) that shows how to remove the arms. One you lift them off you can reposition them. The posts are ribbed and I’m guessing the arms skipped a few “teeth”. There is a groove and woodruff key used for alignment assembly at the plant but they often fall out so they may be gone. The general consensus is that they are just for assembly and not needed. However if you find your teeth are worn from the arm skipping on them you may need a woodruff key to keep them from sliding again.

Thank you. I will try that. I'm hoping that they skipped teeth. The wipers moved at the exact time the snow fell down on them.

I tried to readjust the wiper arms but that wasn't the problem. It appears to be the linkage on the cowl. I have to figure out how to access it.
