There was no sarcasm or joking in your post. Beer sucks.

I get the humor about insurance fraud, but I guarantee you I won't be going that direction.

And one more angle with the sun lower in the sky.

In all seriousness... Ford should be very receptive to changing that out for you under warranty, it does look defective from the factory and I wouldn't be able to drive with all those bubbles there either. I double checked mine this morning, and it is clear w/ no bubbles. Im a little surprised the dealer, while throwing the ceramic coating on the windshield, didn't mention anything because its important to correct any defects in the surface before that coating is applied....
(There, Is that better Summers22???)

Put a Philips head screwdriver on it, give it a little whack with a hammer. Bam, you get a new windshield!

So...

Did you run by the dealer, and make the claim yet?

Well, now you know why it took so long to get the truck. First truck in the first car on the top deck. What's that saying? First in, last out? And being in the front top, thats all rail dust!

So here is how it works. Your dealership will take photos of it, then send them to Ford. Ford then tell's dealership to replace the windshield. Just remember, dealerships use a third party to change out the windshield. This might add to the time of them getting a new one. Took two weeks for them to get mine and install.

This is an interesting thread. Too bad nobody seems to really know what it's about. Ceramic coatings, bubbles in the laminate, is it Ford's fault?, how long will it take to fix,,,yada yada yada. The OP hasn't even confirmed if the problem is IN the glass or on the surface. Just took another picture and posted it instead.

He'll probably take it in and a guy will walk out with some glass cleaner and a rag and make it go away.

Assume what you want, but I suggest you read the previous post. Just came out of the carwash. Did the glass cleaner myself.

Also sorry I haven't posted back on your schedule. I worked 22 hours in the last two days.

Rant over. To answer your questions the dealership also has the pictures. When the service manager gets word back from Ford, then I will be asked to bring it in and probably have more pictures taken. This is all in the early stages, so no answers as to what it is and what the Ford will do about it. I will report back when I have an answer.

So you're saying it is in the laminate, in the adhesive layer? Maybe I just don't read well. I just don't see you saying where the "bubbles" are. You're not really saying that the glass cleaner might not just be ineffective on a surface problem either, like etching.

Beside that, half the responses on the thread are about surface problems, and the others are about the laminate. It's not just me. What is it, exactly?

And, one more edit, if it's on the surface it would be a "pit". If it's in the windshield it would be a bubble. Bubbles are contained on all sides.
