Default Window Tint

What % of tint has everyone gone with?? 20%? 35%?

I have the factory tint still on there but it's not enough. I know that I don't want to go too dark (limo) but I need to do something.

20% matches the factory tint on the back windows of mh 18 screw nicely. I only did the front to match, did not add any to the rears.

I had ceramic tint on the fronts, i do a lot of dark time driving and didnt want the darkness but wanted the heat rejection. 10/10 would do again.

I put 35% on mine. I'm very happy with it. I didn't want it too dark because the cops will pull you over if the tint is too dark.

Factory rear should be ~20%. I would still tint over the rears with a quality ceramic tint for the heat rejection over the colored factory glass. I went CTX 15(measures 20) up front and CTX 50(measures 55) over the rear and windshield. AirBlue 80 is a nice alternative for the rear and windshield if you dont want dark. Still has something like 70% heat rejection and is practically clear. It's a huge difference in in-cab heat when you address the largest piece of glass in the truck.

I have since added perforated vinyl over all rear windows to cut the glare for the little guy when the sun hits him in the face. The vinyl does not distort your vision like it appears in the pictures.

I went with 35% on the fronts because 35% is the legal limit here. It's a little lighter than the rears, but it looks and works better than no tint at all..I also did a 5% eyebroe on the windshield.

I put 35% ceramic tint on mine. Too dark here and you can't get an inspection sticker and the cops can use it as an excuse to pull you over. If you're looking for heat rejection get ceramic tint, the darkness doesn't matter.

I did 75% SunTek Ceramic tint on all glass except front windshield. Having it on the twin panel really reduces the heat in the summer sun and keeps the heat in during the winter.

Thanks for the pic. I have the same silver color and a tibt appt this week. Was deciding between matching the back (20%), 30%, or 35%. Definitely not going 20% after seeing your pic. Here legal is 50%.

Did you get the windshield brow?

I put 20% on my front windows. I noticed a slight color difference between the front and backs so I put 35% on my back glass now they all match perfect. I wish I would have gone 15 or 20 on my back windows.Window Tint-photo821.jpg
