Default Winch Mount

Does anyone have experience, own, and/or pictures of winch mounting options for the 2015+ F150? I have scoured the internet and can't seem to find many good pictures of the actual product installed on the truck. Looking for something more along the lines of the Warn Gen II Trans4mer style though I am not a huge fan of Warn's current product. I just question the durability of a product that is completely bolted together and not welded. I had a Go Rhino brush guard winch mount on my 2013 F150 and really liked it but I can't find any actual pictures of one on a 2015+. I have a Westin HDX full brush guard on my F250. That thing was stout but dang was it heavy. It sunk the front end of my F250 so I think it's fair to say its too heavy for my needs and a F150.

I DO NOT want a full bumper replacement style. While there are plenty of pictures available on those, they do not fir my needs/wants and I think it'd be too heavy for my truck.

I did find one picture on here of a King Ranch with the Warn Trans4mer set up and it looked really good. Again, just not sold on Warn's assembly of it not to mention the price. Right now I am considering the Warn, Go Rhino or Sterling Manufacturing.

Thanks

I'm in the same position you are. Had a winch on my old truck and miss it.

700,000 new F150s cranked out per year, yet there is a profound unwillingness to produce winch mounts for them. I think potential manufactureres are worried about lawsuits if the intercooler is blocked on the Ecoboosts and engine damage results.

Please give us a report if you try a Warn Trans4mer or find another solution.

Here's an option.

Considered, but haven't gotten to the point where I'm all that serious (yet).

That's cool, but it's a no-go for Ecoboosts. Also, having used a winch quite a bit I don't really see how the cable can be rewound properly when you can't see the drum. I see from the pic that they're using rope...perhaps more forgiving of sloppy rewinding?

Just to give an update.... I ended up going with the Warn Trans4mer Gen II set up. I did not get the brush (head light) guards but got everything else. I will try to get some pictures up this weekend for those that are interested. I'm waiting to get my lights and light bar installed. I like the look and set up but it was definitely pricey. And I did the instillation myself which required some craftiness and finesse to make it look okay. All in all I'm happy.

Also getting leveling kit and tires installed Saturday if all goes as planned.

Just posting this to help others that may also be looking for a winch mount whithout a full bumper replacement as another option. I do like the Warn Trans4mer but here is one that I like as well with just a bull bar option. The Westin Max Winch Tray. Not sure how well it will work for the EB guys though. The website (first link) says no part # for the 15' 16' F150 but the application guide shows the part #s (second link) and I've found it for sale on Amazon. Locobombero has this on his truck and it looks great but the pic isnt working anymore on his tread. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-...h-tray-345671/ Maybe he'll repost it because I can't find a pic anywhere of a 15' or 16' with it installed.

I don't think there's a good option if you have the Ecoboost.

Check out fab fours. They have a really nice one and it should work with the Eco boost. You can mount off road lights on it as well is you want later on. Name: image-2111131514.png

I don't think that one is going to work either. It's completely blocking the intercooler opening.
