Bet they pass EPA tests just the same as the hybrids pass the EPA MPG tests. In a LAB.

Well.. I certainly hope these scumbag lawyers drop this lawsuit.

I just bought a new F250 and I'd hate to see my new truck depreciate an extra 30% over some greedy lawyers trying to make a buck.

Well, I know that at least back then, the powertrain guys took emissions controls and efficiency metrics very seriously. I used to talk a lot to one of the guys who was in charge of the marauder/cobra/mark viii powertrain group (jerry wrobleski) and oversaw emissions and efficiency testing of the mercury marauder. It was really fun to see how much difference setting the cats to 700 degrees and then to 1400 would make on the power delivery and emissions while driving like a maniac around DPG.

And BTW, it is the EPA that will set the dynos and then measure fuel economy and publish it. The manufacturers only provide a guideline based on input during testing.

The family of Lion diesels is already in a handful of model vehicles in Europe. I know it isn't a "Powerstroke"... but the 3.0 is already in Jags/Land Rovers (of course there will be some differences between Euro and US).

Pretty good sized motor. I wonder what working on it will be like. Or if they'll have to pull the cab like they do on the Super Duties...
