Why isn't this on my F-150???

I was at QT filling up earlier. Saw a young lady trying to corral a toddler & air up a tire so I offered to help. I said let me get my tire gauge and she says her car beeps the horn when it's at the correct pressure. Damned if it didn't. Even flashes the hazard lights to let you know it's airing up. Never seen this before but apparently Nissan has had it since 2013, and GM is rolling it out on some 2019's.
Catch up Ford.

Sounds like a great idea, but I wonder how accurate it is. I would probably still want to check it with a gauge.

I have a 2013 Altima and it does the same thing. Surprisingly enough, it's pretty accurate.

2011 Chevy Malibu did the same thing

If my Platinum had that, I'd probably air my tires down just so I could go to the station and air them back up. It's about time to change from summer air to winter air anyway. :-)

The manual says not to rely on the sensors for accuracy and to use a gauge. I like the feature though! I could see it being a problem if it was malfunctioning or dead batteries and you waiting for the beep...and waiting......

I don't change seasonally. I change my air every 3000 miles. I don't trust Ford's IALM.

shockingly enough Nissan like Audi is always on the cutting edge of electronics in cars.. yes Nissan .. in 2003 when the 350z was released it was one of the first to offer tire pressure readouts PER tire and in 2004 when the Inifiniti M35 was released it was one of the first to have the back up camera guide when you turned the wheel. Usually when Audi and Nissan releases electronics it takes the industry a couple years to follow .. I'm willing to bet a female engineer came up with this horn beep concept as a lot of the altima consumers are female.

Don’t forget to change the blinker fluid also.

Now that the air is getting more polluted again I think I’ll start doing the same thing.
