Why does the 5.0 not have an engine cover??
Why does the 5.0 not get that nice cover for the plenum like the Mustang gets??
Will the ones from the Mustang fit? Seems like they obviously should. Anyone done this yet?

Why would you want something so totally useless? They are a good source for keeping the intake manifold nice and hot, just what you want.

If you do a search on here, there are a few threads of people asking about it. I've seen a few trucks on here with them but i think it was the outgoing model. Would look pretty cool in my opinion and I doubt it would "heat" up your intake....it doesn't fully cover your entire intake.

What's wrong with looking at the engine? The 5.0 is a very impressive looking piece of machinery. Not like an LS series GM with those nasty looking coils on the valve covers.

For sure Ford should add this totally worthless and unnecessary part then add $200 to the sticker to cover the cost.

it can be done.
There are 2 components to this; the coil covers and the engine cover itself.
The coil covers are a matter of picking up a set you like and then also purchasing the little ball studs they mount to. Screw the ball studs into the existing threaded holes, pop the covers onto them.
The engine cover is more work. There's some modification that needs to take place based upon the placement of some things on the truck motor vs the car motor.
If you google it, you'll find plenty of people that have added mustang engine covers to their 5.0 trucks. Personally I think it looks good, and contemplated a set of the grabber/ford blue 'powered by ford' coil covers but couldn't bring myself to pay the $200 most people want for them, and never bought a gray set cheaper to paint. Though I may do that this spring.
