I would have loved to have the column or a **** shifter and still have my console.....the Super Duties have the column shifter and console.

My truck is a mobile office and it would be helpful to have the extra storage bin and flat area on the console. It just proves the huge console shifter is just for show (it is probably 100% electronic with no real mechanical linkage to the transmission).

It's really bad. My dad has one and you get no type of tactile feedback, you have to look at the dial every time you change positions.

On the Ford it's still mechanical. They don't have a fully electronic shifter yet in their trucks.

My XLT has the column shifter and center console and that's exactly what I wanted. The extra space is very useful.

No doubt. I can't imagine owning a truck with a console shifter. They take up so much usable space. Get it out of the way on the column.

+1 for the column shifter. This was a choice to me. The sport appearance package looks nice, but the console shift is not for me. I appreciate the flexibility of the third seat ,column shifter and folding armrest/console....So I picked the 302a with chrome (Xtr in Canada).

I agree that it is an interesting combination. Glad you like it and glad it's made available!

I just want my "leg clearance" area for possible 3rd front passenger!

I have the column shifter with the fold down center seat/console in my xlt 302a. Works great for seating 6.
