Dealer 'reprogrammed' the ACM and thinks that will fix it. Will wait and see.

After a month or so it happened again today. No matter what I did nothing would fix the issue. I tried soft resets as well as turning the truck off and opening the door.

Well, I guess I'm part of this awesome club.

When I take my 2016 SuperCrew XLT in to have the latches fixed(TSB 16-0155) I'll have them apply the SSM 45945 update.

Maybe they just want us to have more quiet time to reflect on our purchasing choices?

Add me to the wonderful No radio silence club. I have a 2016 Lariat. I have noticed it mainly does it when I use the key fob to either unlock the door or remote start. I haven't had an issue when I just use the "touch the door handle" to unlock it. Hope they find a fix and I hope they do it fast.

I think your on the right track with the remote start part.. I have came kinda to that conclusion. It's happened twice that I know of when I start it with push button within maybe a minute of remote starting it. Which in all respects I probably didn't need to use the remote start.

add me to the list - 2016 XLT custom order with 3.5L V6, delivered June, 2016.

3 times now, I've gotten in my truck, and couldn't get the audio to turn on. I can press the other 'tabs' (e.g. phone, settings, etc.. tabs work but not audio).

Tried turning off, opening door, turning on again twice, but no luck. Guess I may have to look into this SSM 45945 update.

I checked the My Ford website for the latest Sync Version - and I apparently have this in the truck:
Date Confirmed: Jun 14, 2016
Version: SYNC3 v1.0
GB5T-14G381-AN

Since I had my APIM (?) module replaced over a week ago no more radio freezes thus far. Knock on wood / tapping head.

The audio in my truck has also refused to start up on three separate occasions. I don't know what the problem is, but like the others reporting on this board, the only thing that has cured it has been to shut the truck off, and wait for about a half hour or longer. I suspect it has something to do with the Sync3. One thing I keep in mind is that these trucks have a tonne of technology (meaning lines of code) built into them. I read somewhere that a typical new vehicle has about one million lines of code, but the new F150s are pushing 1.5 million lines of code. With that much programming I guess I can see where the occasional hang-up in the code could happen. I'm glad it's the audio and not my brakes, or the heat for that matter. It's been bloody cold here in Calgary last few weeks...

What is the APIM module? Does that mean you had to have the entire unit replaced? Sorry for the dumb question....
