Hey guys, I swapped my Lariat grill out for a Platinum yesterday. Everything went smooth except I did notice when putting the active shutters on the Platinum grill that the 3 plastic studs at the bottom of the grill were broken off. I don't blame the previous owner since I had a heck of a time removing the nuts from the studs on my grill as well. The shutters are still held on the grill by 5 screws and it seems very secure. Does anyone know if this is going to be a problem? Thanks!
I went from 5 bar to the 3 bar. Love the new look but when doing the swap I noticed the same thing, the bottom 3 clips were really short and broken off. I was able to get mine off without destroying them so if I need to switch back I'll be ok. I went ahead with the install and barely got one of those bottom 3 on. Everything seems fine so I hope others chime in as well that experienced this and say all is good....

Its being painted now....Magnetic, and the chrome bars are being painted with a tint to make it look black chrome......almost ready for my build thread!
Oh found it on ebay for $500.00, I haggled with the seller a lil and she agreed to $410. Being the only Limited grille ive ever seen for sale in the 6 months that ive owned my truck, I jumped on it. Thing is absolutely brand new!
The 2 silver parts are what is being painted Magnetic, the black with chrome is the part that is being tinted with clear with a lil black.
Very interested to see how this turns out. I didn't realize that grill came apart like that.
