Who Has Swapped Out Fender Badges?

Ordered the black and red SE F150XLT badges off eBay. How’d you get to the spring clips inside the fender?
Fender wells or through the top under the hood back by the hinges?

This is one way if you're trying to save the ones you're taking off. I was a little more impatient and used some needle nose plyers and started pulling it off (destroying it) once I had used fishing line.

I've removed them on a few vehicles of my own. I took a heat gun and warmed things up to soften the tape, then used a plastic trim removal tool to just pry them off. The clips behind release without much trouble. I did notice on this aluminum body, it had much more flex than steel. Just take your time.

Thanks guys. Sounds easier than I thought. :)

Definitely use plastic trim tools to release the clips. I used fishing line on as much tape as I could before prying. I saw a post where a guy started prying and pulled the area around the clip holes out and he had to have it fixed at a shop. Seems extreme to me, but he did show pics, so it can happen.

Thanks. I have a heat gun, fishing line, and a set of plastic trim tools. I should be good to go when they get here.

Thanks. You mean the black Plastic-dip? :) I couldn't resist the red accents. Goes well with my truck color.
