Where do you go for oil changes?
Do you go to the dealer or a chain? Are there any disadvantages to going to a place like Monro or Firestone?

Good point. The most important part other than the correct grade of oil is the filter, and you never know what they will have on the back shelf.

I haven't seen it here with oil filters, but i have seen warranties deemed not valid due to A/M fuel filters on a 6.4 diesel
I have heard of it years ago where a blown engine warranty was voided due to a cheap oil filter that the bypass failed and allowed the dirty oil to flow through. Very rare for that to happen, but the diesel fuel filters, now that one I can fully understand! For me, having the dealer do it while still under warranty, well, if an oil related issue comes up, it's completely on them! |

My local small town dealer for sure. Great service and very reasonable. And no (possible) warranty issues... . |
