Where to buy custom painted grille & tailgate Ford emblems ??
Simple answer is the net........................I know !!
.
Backstory:
Tomorrow I will be sending back a 2nd set of emblems I ordered on line......( $ 145.99 with shipping )
.
Prior to the 1st order, I contacted the seller & asked lots of questions, to make sure he was selling what I had in mind.
The 1st set of emblems had numerous paint defects, contacted the seller who apologized saying he would make it right, send them back.
.......( he would credit my account for the return shipping )
The replacement " mint set " arrived on 1 July.
This set had fewer paint defects than the 1st set, but still not what I'm willing to mount on a 50K truck.
.
So, for the site members who have custom painted grille & tailgate emblems, where did you order them from ???
Thanks..

To be honest this is something I have struggled to figure out. I have seen the "How to" posts and looked around online for someone who paints and it has been kind of spotty. I also looked in to billet badges. Even then they focus on the grill and tailgate emblems without the fender emblems.
Unfortunately, the decision I have finally come to (unless a better option comes along) is to just wait until I have a few other pieces I need painted, buy a spare set of OEM emblems to disassemble, and then take them to an experienced auto body painter to do it right.
I guess you could have the body shop disassemble them, but I think the best way to keep the cost down is to do the tear down yourself and let them do what they do best.

There is a member on here that has done some custom painted emblems. I believe his user name is mbullock? Very nice work, outstanding detail.
