Default When will F150's get a Tesla style nav screen

So I see the "all new" "ground up" 1500 come out today.

To me it is a swing and a miss. Looks good but the same except the front end. The interior looks the same as the last one and I didn't like that.

But what really got me is why none of these trucks or any car for that matter offer a Tesla style screen that is huge. That thing is awesome and these truck manufacturers are missing the boat.

To me if it would have had that it would have been a leapfrog on Ford. But instead it's the same crappy looking dash. So now that they swung and missed.

Ford step up when are you gonna give us the goods????

Agree, I found the new 2019 Chevy interior very close to the outgoing model. Playing it conservative, I guess they don't care that much to dethrone Ford.

IMO, that dash is fugly. It's too large for the space.

Probably have a variant of the tall vertical screen in the Police Inteceptor F150 models. I know the Explorers and Taurus can be added with a vertical tall integrated screen.

I don't like it nor do I want it. I like a simple look not all the computer crap. I deal with computer crap in my real life I instruct medical equipment, I don't need it in my car's and trucks.

I want a truck that can haul dirt tow a trailer and do it reliable, the bigest things we see complained about on these and other forums is the Tech don't do this, or the tech don't do that, how do I get this to show up etc..

Less and basic is a good thing.

That tesla center screen is ugly as crap. Way too big. I would say I wish the 8" was like 10 or 11" screen with a very fast processor to make it snappy. Now that would be a perfect system to use. IMO.

I also think the screen is to big. The 8" is about the right size. I don't have it but I have it in my wife's Lincoln mkc. I use some controls on the screen but they aren't always responsive.

When I'm in her car I would ask "where is your defrost button and she would bring it up onscreen when I was looking for it on the manual hard controls. When I'm driving I don't wanna look for screens, I want to feel out the button and press, or twist it.

The 8 is a very nice piece and looks great but no just don't wanna use it for everything.

That is Like having a 55" TV on your dash. That is fugly. I'm happy with the current nav system Ford has. Not as distracting as that thing.

If you really want one you can get an aftermarket one. Personally, I don't like having to swap from tab to tab to do simple things like changing fan speed, turning on heated seats, etc. I like hard buttons for that kind of stuff.
