Are wheel well protectors a good idea?
I have a 2017 f150 in ingot silver. The silver stands out in the rear wheel wells. Are the Ford or Husky wheel well liners a good idea or not?

I got my 2018 Ruby Red Lariat with the Ford rear wheel well liners. I think they really clean up the look of wheel well nicely. I also have Toyo Open Country AT2 tires. Sometimes they hang on to some pretty good sized rocks, and they get flung out at higher speeds. So I'm happy they're banging against the plastic liner instead of metal.

They definitely won't hurt anything. I have the Husky's and love them. Easy install, cheap, and cleans up the look. Like Wolperdinger, I have BFG tires that love to grab and throw rocks, so the liners help.

Salt is not an issue for me here in Texas. Regardless, I would recommend liners regardless. Just cleans up the look and does block out some road noise. I cleaned the area thoroughly before install my Ford OEM liners. Also, I coated all the tabs/bolts in water proof grease for corrosion resistance.

I had the husky liners on my 2016 and went with the Ford liners on the 18. The Ford liners were far easier to install. The Husky liners require a lot of muscle to get them to line up. I just like the finished look.

While salt isn't an issue here in Arizona, I'd put the liners on regardless. The wells look naked without them. I do understand you thinking twice due to salt, I think the good outweighs the bad in this situation.

Why not undercoating or bedliner material?
