Whats the point of the STX Package?
#21
So I got a 17 STX supercrew last week, upgraded from a 14 super cab STX. This is truly an upgrade. I compared the XLT and STX and the STX was the hands down winner. I don't have power seats but the bigger 4.2" display, sync 3 with apple CarPlay and 20" wheels. I love the space where the console shifter is and I got basically everything I wanted. I can add factory bed lights and remote start for under $400. In my opinion it is the best value, walked out paying $37k when it had a window sticker of $46k.

But if your XL MSRP'ed for 46k, couldn't you have paid 1-2k more and got a XLT 302A SPORT?
My 2016 XLT SPORT 302A stickered for 48k and change.
Not trying to rain on your parade by any means.

XL and XLT both have offered a Sport Package from day 1 (of this Generation).
The STX is the XL version of the Special Edition Package offered in XLT and Lariat.
PS 4.2" Productivity Screen comes in all XL 101A Trucks.

I think thats about 1.5k less than I paid for my 2015 XLT 302a SCrew. I searched around and found a few on local lots and the sticker price is similar for basically the same features as my truck. I think its a pretty good package. The only big differences I noticed is the rear parking sensors, power seats, door keypad and body color handles.

Thanks for the comments, around me a suitably equipped xlt with the options I have was $3K more, to me power seats wasn't worth it. I know there were a few other things the xlt changes but those did not matter to me. I also like the column shifter, the extra room in the console gets used all the time. So while I could have had an XLT for a couple grand more, I got what I wanted in the STX which gives me a little more coin for mods😃.

Agree, and I know the productivity screen is part of the 101A, new to me though since I didn't have it on my 2014.

I guess it's too early to ask, did you have it on the beach yet?

So I apologize for the inflated window sticker claim, I was looking at a lot of trucks and mixed something up in my head. Sticker for the STX was $43985 and the XLT w/sport I was looking at was just over $46K.
