So is this new for 17's? I had an STX packaged '14 and would've bought another one had I known about it. How does this compare price wise to an XL with the Sport Package?

I honestly prefer the column mounted shifter, no idea why anyone would want to take up usable space on the center console with a shifter there.

• Black billet style grille with body-color surround and black mesh insert
• Electronic Rear-window defroster
• Manual driver and front passenger lumbar
• Seat Back Map Pocket, driver and front passenger
8" LCD Capacitive Touchscreen in center stack with Swipe Capability
Smart-Charging USB ports - two (2)
• Unique Black Sport Cloth 40/Console/40 seats with flow-through console and steering column mounted shifter

I'd say those are the pieces I'd want the most, but nothing really worth paying extra for one.

XL sport package only adds body colored bumpers, wheels and front grill.

The stx package adds a ton of features but requires sport package as well.

Previous page I posted all contents that stx package adds.

XL Sport Package includes:
Body Color Front Fascia (Flat black on std XL)
Body Color Bumpers
Aluminum Wheels
Fog Lights
Sport Decal
*Requires 101A Package

The Grill is the same as a std XL.

$275 after package discount.
In my opinion the XL Sport and Chrome Packages (Same except for stainless bumpers) are the
biggest bargains in the F150 option list.

I guess the grill changes for STX package then. Looks like the sport xlt grill with stx package.

I think originally it stood for "Sport Truck XL". By the time you added the items that came std on a XLT it cost more money than a XLT.

Some of Ford's current packages are confusing.
A 101A with Sport/Chrome Package and Carpet Option has more equipment and cost less money than a 300A. 101A has 4.2" Screen vs 300A 2.3" for instance.

I bought my STX because I wanted a basic truck with a few upgrades -- mainly the body color trim and Sync 3. I love that it has vinyl floors, column shifter, and no rear slider. I paid quite a bit less than a 302a XLT would have cost me.

So I got a 17 STX supercrew last week, upgraded from a 14 super cab STX. This is truly an upgrade. I compared the XLT and STX and the STX was the hands down winner. I don't have power seats but the bigger 4.2" display, sync 3 with apple CarPlay and 20" wheels. I love the space where the console shifter is and I got basically everything I wanted. I can add factory bed lights and remote start for under $400. In my opinion it is the best value, walked out paying $37k when it had a window sticker of $46k.
