Default Whats this part?

I found these sitting in the pocket where the driver side windshield wipper connects to the motor arm. I have not replaced the wipers, or anything of that matter. I did have my oil changed at the dealership the same day I found them. I drove home, washed the truck, and when drying it off noticed them. They are very light, non magnetic, possibly aluminium. Thanks in advance.

They are drive or guide pins for the windshield wipers. If you remove the wiper arms you will see the grove in the socket and the inside of the wiper arm. I put a small amount of epoxy on the inside edge of the socket to hold them in place.

ok. thanks. I'm assuming these aren't supposed to just fall out, correct. I'll glue them back in.

Just had this problem. I don't know how to remove the wiper arm to see how to get these back in. They just fell right out when I lifted the wiper blades to wash the window. Help?

I'm way confused now. I just went out with a little automotive "mirror on a stick" tool to see behind where this came from and I can find nowhere that it goes. Without seeing one in place I'll never figure this out. Please help.

Also, I don't think it's a drive pin. They both fell out only when I had lifted the spring loaded wiper arm to its maximum stay open position. Wipers work fine. Some kind of spacer or spring tensioner spacer?
Goes right there. I suggest that you epoxy or JB Weld it in place. Use the quick drying stuff. To remove the arm lift the arm up till it stays up off the windshield, then pull the little lever on the side out, hold it there and pull up on the arm. You may have to wiggle it a bit. The beveled side goes in to the wiper arm first. Give it a slight tap to seat it in place.

Talk about a life saver! I met my new boss today , picked him up at the airport, and have to drive him about 500 miles tomorrow in my new truck through forecasted rain! I just did a quick repair using some 10 year old "Red Strength" thread locker I found in my garage. Have no time tonight to go get JB weld which is what I would of preferred. Hope this crap holds! These things fell out right before I was leaving to get him today...

This just happened to me while detailing the truck. I'm assuming it only happens when lifting the wiper arms; although, I've lifted the arms plenty of times before. I've had my truck for 7 months now. I put the pins back in with a little silicone. It's the only thing I had on hand. If it happens again, I'll use something more permanent. I thought this thread was worthy of bumping back toward the top. It really helped me.
