1. You are correct, I wrote that out wrong on the freight. I looked at my paper work again, it is included in the MSRP/Invoice.
3. By Private Cash do you mean the $750 direct offer?
4. Based on $40,674, i'm below that on the actual truck so I feel like its a good deal then unless your including tax/tag/fee in that number.
5. This is the 5th dealership to appraise my trade, they basically just matched everyone else. I'm sure they'll make money on it but based on the other offers i feel its fair.
6. I do have the vincent report, Actually since 4/22 the rebates went up $500 so i've made out in that sense.
Vincent Report shows these rebates:
"EcoBoost" Bonus Customer Cash $300 Jul*05*2017
13052 * Retail Customer Cash $2,250 Jul*05*2017
13054 * Ford Credit Retail Bonus Customer Cash $1,250 Jul*05*2017
13056 * Retail Bonus Customer Cash $250 Jul*05*2017
13058 * Bonus Customer Cash $1,500

I was not aware until my recent purchase that you could negotiate the price of the extended warranty. I think the finance guy flubbed a little and mentioned it. He sort of glanced over it until I stopped him and said, "wait..... so that price for the extended warranty is not set in stone?" Once I asked that he dropped the price by 600.00 and I came back asked for another 400.00 so he said, "it's getting late, you got it" and I was able to get the 72K mile extended warranty for 1K less that the asking price.
Am I the only one that knew that price was negotiable?

Do people normally buy the extended warranty on a new truck? They started telling me about a 100k mile pretty much bumper to bumper extension if i were to be interested.

Just know this, the Ford extended warranty did not work out for me on a previous purchase. They require any work to be done at a Ford Dealer or else you run the risk of voiding the warranty. I was at the beach when my AC went out and AAA was ready to fix it on spot. When I found out Ford would not be happy with that I had no other choice but to spend the next 3 days at the beach with no AC.

I'm up in Canada not sure what a msrp price would be for you but that's what I got from my dealer.
And if the dealer wants to throw in a few options free of charge not going to say no...

MSRP includes package "discounts". People give the number with, or without, those discounts without explaining it. Those discounts are not in invoice. Some refer to them as rebates, which they are not. So when someone says "I got $10,000 off MSRP", and it includes a $2,500 package "discount", they got $7,500 off MSRP, not $10,000. When they say "I got $1,000 off invoice", NOW you really understand how well they did. And it should be stated as "$1,000 off invoice PLUS $x,xxx in rebates, since rebates are totally non-comparable across regions, across models, and change frequently. If Texas has too many XLTs, you'll see huge rebates. Kansas may have much lower rebates due to a low supply of XLTs. And they include trades.
The only value of MSRP is to calculate holdback, which is 3% of MSRP. Then start at invoice to figure out the dealer's "cost" (not really). Work from that number, understanding that dealer has holdback plus other incentives from Ford based on volume, etc. that give them profit also.
Many people spend a lot of time working on this. In the end, few get better than X-Plan, less rebates. And many give up Ford Credit rebates because they don't understand to take the regular Ford Credit rate and then refi the next week.
And for those getting A, Z, or D plan - your information is useless to everyone else. Since you work for / or retired from Ford or a Ford Dealer, or are in the immediate family of such a person, you got what 99% of the forum users cannot get.
Spend your time getting qualified for X-Plan, then get a Smart Vincent printout from the dealer for the truck you want. If you order, get them to agree, in writing, to give you the rebates either at the time of order or the time of purchase, whichever are better (they have to fill out paperwork with Ford for this). Then relax.

I've read several instances of folks negotiating lower than the Plan prices. Some of it, I know, depends on different circumstances that are unique to the dealer and even the specific vehicle being negotiated.
For me, for example, I'm looking at a new Platinum. The dealer has kicked off negotiations at (soft) "invoice," which I know is not true invoice. For this truck, X-Plan is about $30 higher than soft invoice. To that, the dealer is adding tax (is what it is) + $350 Doc Fee + $8.25 Reg + $11.50 Transfer + $8.00 Title + $1,000 License. Doesn't seem like a lot of fluff.
A & Z Plan pricing is about $1500 lower than invoice, but I don't qualify.
I hate to assume anything, so I'll ask if anyone knows: Does Ford compensate dealers for the "loss" (not really) they take for honoring (Insert Plan) pricing? Or can the dealer negotiate to the same level without giving up on some form of reimbursement from Ford?
Incentives on Platinums aren't great right now, but with all the options on the truck, I would think there's still some margin to work with.
Also hoping Memorial Day incentives might help. Waiting to see what they'll be this year...

Never understood how people get all caught up in msrp/ invoice/dealer holdback and rebates. I try to view it as I'm getting Truck A with options 1,2,3 and 4 Truck A cost X and the options cost Y amount. You put it all together and that's what you pay... in reality the price before tax is ill a give a crap about.
The price my dealer offered me, I considered reasonable and fair so I'm happy. Don't let ford confuse the heck out of you with all the msrp invoice holdback rebates crap. I don't care how much the dealer makes in the sale they wouldn't make the sale if there wasn't motivation to make money or unload last years model.

Just make sure you read the fine print on what is not covered by an extended warranty. Some folks get a nasty surprise, eg:

X-Plan limits to $100 paperwork fee, that's a $200 savings for you right there. $200 - 30 = $170 lower cost. I'll take 1/2...
What's "$1,000 license?"
If you want good rebates, buy an XLT. Top end, forget it.
