Default What are you planning to order?

I am curious what you guys are planning to order? Our shop truck is a 2011 Ecoboost Supercrew XLT...

I am planning to order either a 2015 Ecoboost 3.5 Supercrew Lariat or FX2...

There is not enough information yet for me to consider the 2.7 Ecoboost...

Since Ford unbundled (again) FX4 as an option package rather than a trim level and are offering more body-colored bumper de-chromed versions, I'm leaning towards:

2015 F150 Supercrew 4x4
- Lariat Trim level
- 3.5 Ecoboost (again!), 3.73 gearing, 5.5' bed
- Sport appearance for de-chroming
- FX4 off road package
- Leather buckets with console, Moonroof, etc.
- Caribou paint color

More than a bit curious on price and incentives... When I bought my 2011 FX4 Supercrew Ecoboost Luxury almost exactly three years ago, it was ~$37K after discounts/incentives. No doubt the OTD pre-tax price on the 2015 will end up quite a bit more.

Should look a bit like this, minus the over-chromage

I will be ordering the 2015 3.5L Max Tow EcoBoost Supercrew XLT or Lariat. I'll need to test drive the 2014 model of both trims and then decided which 2015 to order. With the reduced weight of the truck and power of the EcoBoost engine, this should be a great truck to tow my camping trailer.

I will need to see the build and price before I decide. I hate to put more emphasis on looks, but looks will be ultimately decide which trim options I go for.

If I can get those wheels on the truck in the first post on a XLT, thats what I am going for. IMO those wheels look perfect on this truck.

What I will be looking for is Crew Cab 4x4. that much is for sure. I will need to test drive every engine choice available. the 2.7 sounds very enticing to me, because all I really need a truck for is the bed. I do not see myself needing to tow anything in the near future, so the 2.7 has my interests peaked.

While I understand there is much mystery as to how much the 2.7L ecoboost will pick up with tuning, there is one line that has me a bit concerned "All-new aluminum cylinder heads feature water-cooled integrated exhaust manifolds" I don't think I like the idea of integrated exhaust manifolds, both for longevity and performance. Using the newest numbers Ford is putting out on the 3.5 ecoboost I imagine the 2.7 will be rated at roughly 300hp and 350-360ft lbs of torque.

This could be a great choice but I would like to hear what some of the tuners think and their projections but these are just my thoughts so I will likely be ordering the following:

2015 supercrew 4x4
-3.5 ecoboost
-lariat, sport appearance and FX4 package
-equivalent 402A package for all the new goodies
-pano moonroof
-likely going for white in color but we will see

2015 supercrew 4x4
-5.0 Coyote V8
-8 or 10 speed (hint hint Ford, people want the newer transmissions for the 2015 model year)
-lariat, sport appearance and FX4 package
-equivalent 402A package (Or whatever package includes the LED Head/Tailights)
-360 camera plus sensors
-LED lights for the side mirrors
-Tuxedo Black

-And hopefully it has the same grille as the Tuxedo Black Lariat on the ford.com 2015 f-150 home page

It actually could make it easier to upgrade, as you would only have to deal with the compressor side, but you are correct...it will take some time to sort the tuning and see if this is a viable platform for extracting some real power...

I'm planning on a 4x4 Supercrew 6.5 bed Platinum with the 2.7L Ecoboost and all the goodies. I'm leaning towards the Magnetic color but may go with black. Can't wait!!!

Regular cab longbox 4x4 with 3.5 ecoboost vinyl floor is a must, nothing fancy on the inside just want AUX on the stereo. Will probably go with green maybe magnetic color. Going to be a farm truck, have no clue what gears to get but will probably go with electronic locking.
