Just bought a new F150 in August, and purchased a "Ford" branded quad folding hard cover along with the truck.

This thing has not reliably stayed locked since I bought the truck, and I'm lucky nothing has been stolen. The cover shifts back and forth continually leaving one side not latched. In addition, the design is such that it only has locking point at three of the four folding sections? Sounds like flawed thinking by somebody.

Anyway, has anybody had any experience with this product? Truck is at Mullinex Ford in Olympia as we speak, where they are trying to address the issue. Going backwards, I believe I would have simply purchased a different cover.

Regards to all and happy trails....

I got an Undercover Elite II on mine.
Since I have a regular cab, I need a place to store my fishing gear and other stuff when I go away.
Makes my bed just like a big trunk that's secure, as well as nice and dry.

Default Other Cover

I have the UnderCover Hard tonneau cover. The only issue I have had with it is the latch on the passenger side seems a little short. While driving in a very windy situation (35 mile per hour gusts hitting the passenger side of the truck) the wind seemed to tweak the cover enough that the locking bar slipped out from under the latch then started lifting the cover forcing me to pull over 4 different times. The locking bar on the driver's side goes under the latch almost 2x the distance making in almost impossible for it slip past the latch. I didn't see any adjustments I could make to the locking mechanism to correct the issue, but I may have to study it a little more. Fortunately, I haven't had to drive in any extremely windy situation since this happened, but plan to fix it before I do.

I'm not familiar with the inner workings of that cover, but for the BAK Revolver X2, if one side doesn't stay latched, it's because the cover itself needs to be shifted slightly to one side. Once this is done, the latches both line up evenly with the BAK-supplied rails (which bolt to the bed rails).
