Almost bought the Truck Gear hard folding today from LineX but backed out due to it being the older model that you had to left cover to close the tailgate... I know, first world problems right

How water resistant/proof is this cover? I really like the concept and look. Will be picking up new 18 F150 upon our arrival in Tucson. Worried about the desert downpours.

I don't think I've heard that question before. I would consider the MX4 very water resistant if you are talking about the material it's made of. If you're asking if the MX4 keeps the bed enclosure completely dry the answer is no. Don't forget there is a huge gap between the bed and the tailgate when it's closed.

Yeah, I get the material is water proof but curious as to how wet it would get inside the bed. Sounds like it doesn't seal at all. Thanks.

The MX4 does have rubber seals on the outside edge that meets the bed-sides. The rail frame on each side that channels water to the front of the bed and then into two tubes that allows water to drain through the opening at the bottom front of the bed.

I'll be getting a Truxedo Truxport soon, I've had this cover on my last 2 trucks and never had issues with leaks or wear from the Texas sun.
