Check my posts. I pull a 7000 pound TT just fine with my 2.7L.

Is it just my eyes, or has the truck shown in the first post been leveled?

The 5.0 would do a good job as well. I pulled the TT with my 2011 5.0 and I always thought it did well, but the 3.5 is noticeably better accelerating and maintaining highway speeds.

Here's mine for ref:

2016 Lariat 502A with the sport trim. The "sport trim" isn't much more than an appearance package from what I can tell.

It has the Max tow package. Those are 20" rims that came with the sport package.

Out of all the lariat's we looked at, the sport package is the only one that appealed to me. I liked that it did away with the fake wood accents and replaced them with kind of a mottled silver look. I also liked the 6 spoke 20" rims over any other factory options.

Personally, I like the "sport 4x4" sticker. It's different. I like different.

The 3.5 eco makes it scoot like a scalded cat....amazing a truck this big can move as fast as it does being pushed by "only" a V6.

16 XL Sport 4X4. All black outside and inside. Wheels are the upgraded 20" alummimim.
The Sport has the center console but I know my XL still has the Collumn shifter and there is just storage space in the console shifter location. Maybe be different for XLT

Pretty sure the sport adds the running boards as well but it has been a while
since I was searching.

I'm having a hard time picturing that. It has the console but a column shifter?

Any chance you have picture of that?

Well that's pretty cool. First time I've seen it done that way.

Mine's a 2.7 4x4 SuperCrew and it pulls my 6000# cabin cruiser just fine. Add liquids, trailer and stuff in it and it's closer to 7500#. Tows just fine, even on hills. I don't even use tow/haul mode.
