It does exist and as mentioned, very common place. You have to bring it up for the insurance companies sure won't.

Geico offered me $5k to settle.

Yeah, no.

When the adjuster was there on Tuesday, he basically has LKQ parts for EVERYTHING in the estimate. No mention of the punctured intercooler thats CLEARLY visible. No mention of my Morimoto fog lights that I VERY SPECIFICALLY mentioned to him. LKQ replacement halogen headlamps for my OEM LEDs. No mention of the very obviously bent frame horns. Labor quoted at $40/hour for aluminum body work. Report clearly states non-heavy duty tow radiator, which is WRONG. Mine is a max tow package. The report states there were rock chips on my hood, which is BULL****.

Im not putting a bunch of **** parts back into the truck, its OEM or nothing. Especially when it comes to IC, radiator and condenser coils.

Lol, $40/hr. for aluminum body work, where did they find those highly trained hack masters? Stay on them, it's bs that you have to fight for what should be a given. YOU dictate which shop does the repairs, they will find all the mistakes this idiot made. I been down that road years ago with my wifes first Explorer. It does **** you off, that's for sure.

Yes thats Geico for you. Them and progressive. Impressed they found lkq parts. I have never heard of used parts for 15+ f150s. At least not yet anyway. I know for a fact there are no aftermarket parts yet for them.

Labor rate might be low, but usually when it is, the hours are double. If not that's weird. When we get these trucks, its either double the hours than steel, or double the Labor rate. So if steel is 1 hour at $56. Aluminium will be either 2 hours at $56, or 1 hour at $112.

Maybe you should start mentioning head aches that might need MRIs done. It's a shame there are this way.

Hope you got a rental truck that they are paying for, just keep their feet to the fire and don't sign anything till you are satisfied.

It has been awhile but when I was in a wreck, I went to my own insurance agent and got a ton of info from him on do's and dont's and he had some very good suggestions on how to handle things, just a thought.

Yeah Gieco sucks. I dropped them after my truck got broken into and they wanted to fix it with the crappiest parts they could find. I have All State now and verified with them they would only use OEM parts on my truck when I signed up.

Sorry for your headaches hope it gets worked out.

My 13 was totaled in 15 , so here are my tips and thoughts. If front frame horns are bent, that piece for a 13 was $4600- and they have to pull motor, trans and cab to install. If you are feeling any physical discomfort from the accident, get it checked out by a professional. Keep records-names dates and content of any contacts regarding the accident. My file was several inches thick by the time it was settled.
Insurance adjusters and body shops will often low ball the estimate in order to get the job. Then as they "find" more damage they keep upping the estimate. Mine started at about $9000 by the shop that towed my truck to their lot- insurance ok'd the estimate. I had truck moved to my body shop and they found additional damage-the estimate went to almost $20,000 and they totaled it. Glad you are ok but it's going to be an adventure.
Best of luck.
