What prompted you to buy an F-150?
Not sure if this has been asked, or if there is already a thread on this; but what was the main reason that you bought an F-150?
Mine was that our family had just outgrown our 08 Mazda 5 wagon; and with all the rebates and deals that Ford was offering, it was pretty much a no brainer.
We had also looked at Toyota 4-Runners,GMC, and Dodges, but we they just didn't offer the same trim levels, options that Henry could give. 4 doors, leather and a 5 star safety ratings also put the Lariat on the short list.

I work construction so I need a truck. I'll never buy a Dodge or an import truck which leaves me with Ford or GM. I drove a 2001 Silverado for 14.5 years and loved it but when it came time to buy a new truck I said no to GM. Their Active Fuel Management motors die way too often. I personally know 4 people that had GM AFM motors that failed and needed total engine replacement. As long as GM continues to put AFM in their motors, I won't buy. Ford is all that is left so I got an F-150 with the NA 5.0 V-8. There are too many gimmicks in motors these days.

My 2014 tundra limited was annoying, uncomfortable, loud, 14 mpg, bed bounce drive me insane, and plastic squeaky sounds in the cabin. I wanted to try ford and so far after a year I'm impressed.

Started driving a F350 4x4 diesel for work. Was always impressed by the power and it's durability. There were many fords after that (another 350, a 450, and a 550) then later back to a 250. Loved 'em all but sold them when I got out of concrete. Downsized to a 150 and haven't looked back.

Traded my Silverado for a civic for the wife and I drove her Jeep Patriot. Hated it with a passion. Not a ford guy but my brother in law works for a dealer. Went in just to talk to see pricing, found out I could buy at employee pricing, couldn't resist.

Worst hairday ever...
Ford doesn't sell Rangers anymore so I went with the F150, I owned 4 F-series in the late 80's and 90's so it wasn't a big change for me.

Nicest half ton truck available in my opinion. The power is great and I like the looks inside and out.
