We went with Lariat Sport fully loaded because of the sport/no chrome option If Platinum had no chrome/sport option then we would have got that. Lariat fully loaded has everything the others do except the massaging seats and different leather/wood trim.

I ordered my signature.
What is the difference or why do some trucks have 4x4 on the side and others have FX4?? I changed my order from a 2 wheel drive to a 4 wheel 3 days after I had ordered it.

FX4 is an add-on package which changes the shocks and adds skid plates. If you get the package, the 4x4 sticker on the back is "upgraded" to FX4.

They also have the Sport 4x4 sticker which comes on the sport package with 4x4 if you have no FX4 option. Looks like a fairly new sticker, haven't seen it before on any pics.

"My type beater" gets firewood thrown at it and might miss, or other scratch & dent uses. I cringe when I see the truck commercials making new PU trucks into "big trucks" & beaters. Take the "Stone Mason", We Test. You Test.-drop-in ad that persists on this website(I know it pays the bills here) with a huge rock about to be dropped in the back-I'd like to see what happened to that truck-if they dropped it?
That's what trailers & dump trucks are for? FWIW, I live near a rock quarry and see some non beaters full of gravel now and then-yuk!

I was planning on ordering the Platinum, but the new KR interior is gorgeous and I like the two tone paint and wheels, so I went with a loaded KR.
Bob, you might want to rethink not getting any upgrades on the KR--the technology package (with the 360 degree camera) was a MUST for me. Also, once I saw that HUGE sunroof, I had to have it too.
More power to you if you can resist the pull of the upgrades.

I really don't even need the 4x4 but was thinking down the road about resell. Was surprised to see used values figure show, you get all the 4x4 cost back. I figure why not, only cost about 1 mpg and a bigger customer base when I get ready to sell or trade up down the road.
Watch us have snow this year and me with not truck!
Wife has a jeep so guess we won't starve.
