CD's, how quaint, like so 10 years ago. I don't think any of the last 10 cars/trucks I had ever had a CD even in the car let alone in the player.

Me too. I have hundreds of CDs. However, I've ripped all of them to my computer. Put what I want on my iPhone, old iPod or usb thumb drive. Swapping cd's while driving is just a PITA.

So easy to rip your CDs to MP3 and transfer to a USB. I've got about 105 hours of music on this mini SanDisk and over 1400 different songs. Just pop it in and I use random playback mode and it works perfectly. You've got your own "music station" without any interruptions or commercials, also no hassle of changing CDs when your driving. I used to listen to Sirius a lot but way too much talking and advertising about their other stations.

Thanks to you digitaltrucker, delavan and nampa45 for music storage ideas and particularly stowaway with your USB cd player suggestion .... I did discover Lessco makes an integrated add-on CD player for many different new vehicles including F-150.....

Don't disrespect the CD, because if history has shown us anything, CD's will have a resurgence in 20/30 years.
I just love listening to the future hipsters talk s*&t.

Not everybody likes to listen to lossy mp3 files, and some of us actually prefer lossless HD audio files. It's not unusual for a single lossless HD album to exceed 2gB, and single songs are frequently larger than 100mB. Sync3 plays them just fine, but you don't get that many of these files on a reliable 'thumb drive'. It's nice to have easy options like CD.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a CD player in my '16 when I bought it. But I haven't used it yet, and I'm not sure I ever will.

Not just a Ford thing, they're just following suit. Very few if any manufacturers offer CD players anymore.
