Default What muffler for 2015 v8 5.0??

I wanted to go with a borla atak muffler, but it's hard to find just the muffler. What mufflers would sound the best to give the muscle throaty and race sound?

My 2011 5.0 sounds awesome, people are always asking me what exhaust setup I have on it.

Simple - I ordered a single chambered cherry bomb extreme muffler from Jegs, took it to my local muffler shop, had them cut out the factory muffler AND resonator, and install the cherry bomb muffler. It sounds amazing, but does have a lot of interior resonance/drone.

Hope this helps.

I was thinking about a cherry bomb as well, but yeah there is some drone. I'd really like the atak, but I can't find it by itself.

I'm afraid to do anything after dropping $61k for my truck, I think I'll wait a few years before adding any aftermarket anything.

Default Magnaflow

I like Magnaflow mufflers. Made in USA, high quality, flow through design, will sound great with a V8. Shorter length muffler will be louder than longer muffler.

Electric cutout. You get best of both worlds: stock/silent, half open/rumble, Fully open/INSANE

I had a DMH cutout before and loved it. Google it.

I installed a flow master super 50(formerly known As the 50suv) part number 53055 with the resonator removed. Deep and throaty and I can genuinely say I have no drone in mine. My wife is crazy about sound and she loves it. Hope that helps if you go with a Maggie make sure you get the right size the I'd say 14" body with res and 18" with out just remember the Maggie's use sound deadner in them and that stuff can and will deteriorate or blow out over time, hence why Maggie's get louder over time. Good luck with your decision and I am so happy with the one I made.

Wow those look awesome! I didn't know such a thing existed. I will definitely be looking into this. Thanks for the tip.

Edit: Dang they are illegal in Texas. (I know some people will do it anyway, but not really worth the hassle to me.)

Congrats on the new system. I love the way these trucks sound with exhaust.

Cheers,
