I'm on the fence but I think I'm gonna remove them. I might paint the chrome letters white (with the paint I have for my door handles), and leave the black alone. Or I might paint the whole emblem black, not sure yet.

I've been using plastic dip almost since it first came out.

I've used it on grills, wheels, emblems, doorhandles, bumpers, window trim, etc.

Make sure whatever you're painting is very clean. I like to leave about an inch space between the emblem and the tape makes it easier for grabbing the plasti dip and peeling it off. I always recommend a minimum of four and a maximum six coats.

I'm on the road so don't have access to my home computer. I'll be returning late Saturday or early Sunday when I do I'll post pictures of some past projects. Think I still have a few step-by-step pictures I did on previous vehicles.

I've helped plasti dip before on other people's vehicles, and I just watched some videos to help. The most consistent thing I hear is make sure the emblems are clean. Leave 1-2" with the tape to help peel. The first 2-3 coats should be light, the last 2-3 coats should be heavy. Remove the tape after your last coat while the paint is still wet, but let the plasti dip dry before you start removing from the emblem. To get the inside of the letters, use a toothpick, one guy said it helped him to twist the toothpick. This is what I'll probably end up doing, I have no desire to mess with the clips and trying to re-attach everything and hoping it holds.

I have a picture of a Honda I once owned on my cell phone.

I plasti dipped the Chrome trim around the grill, the Honda emblem, center caps chrome around the window, I used to get asked frequently who did it and then the questions would flow how did you do it. When done correctly it looks good not as good as regular paint but still good.
